BREAKING NEWS!

Natalie’s water broke at 10:50am today while she was at the hospital for a routine check. She is now officially in labor. We expect Izzie to arrive very soon now… Please keep praying for us.

Is she coming or not?!

On the home front: Life here continues to be exciting with little Izzie on the way.  “Her” latest trick has been in the form of Braxton hicks contractions that progress for days at a time with no break, and lately made it to the real thing almost – for two days!  Finally this climaxed in 2 minute contractions, every 2-4 minutes for HOURS in the labor and Delivery ward.  Sadly, that’s all that happened, and finally with me exhausted, but not dilated beyond 1.5, nor did my water ever break… they sent me home with a sleeping pill – at least I got to enjoy the bliss of contraction free sleep (or at east sleep where I could ignore the fact that my tummy felt like it was going to be twisted in half!).  I woke up this morning having returned to the all too familiar every five minute contractions to relive the process yet again.  The doc is saying it could be hours, days or weeks.  The little one doesn’t seem at all phased by all this – she just squirms and kicks between contractions apparently unaware of being squished and squeezed.
