Dreams

Goldfish are everywhere!  I cannot find enough vessels to contain them all.  I search the closets, and find every fish bowl or tank I’ve ever used, but alas, they are cracked and broken.  Not only does the water leak out of them, but the fish can wriggle through the tiny cracks in the glass!  I cannot keep refilling them fast enough, and fish are suffocating on the floor faster than I can scoop them up and back into their tanks!  Goldfish are everywhere!

The dreams…My baby books tell me it’s my mind’s way of dealing with the emotions and fears associated with pregnancy.  I’ve certainly been dreming alot, but really, what’s the connection?  Am I afraid of fish? Does Izzie remind me of a fish?  I’ve been eating alot of fish…

The Lake

Hmmm…Tips for dealing with morning sickness.  First, plan a long road trip.  Be sure to choose a route with lots of bathroom stops available!  Then drive all day and all night.  Then take a long warm (not hot) bath and try to remember that its worth it to enjoy summer vacation at the most peaceful place on earth.

So we arrived in South Carolina to spend a week with the Roberts and the Zellers at the Zeller Lake House.  The water was perfect and adventures were had by all!  The teenagers mastered the wakeboard and late night games of hide and seek in the dark, Ashish attempted water skiing (with the inspired help of Chuck and Randy), Val kept everyone organized, and Izzie floated.  Actualy Izzie and I floated since that was the extent of the water sport allowed us.  And we sat for long hours, reading the Psalms and taking in the beautiful views.  We painted and drew the water and trees.  We napped.  And finally, we came home much refreshed, ready to take on the next eight months!

Great Expectations!

We’re having a baby!  Today we finally knew for sure!  He or she is expected to arrive in March, supposedly around the 22nd!  Now just thirty-eight more weeks to go…
