Hickups!
My first experience of second-hand hickups commenced this morning at about 10:30 am. As I sat at the computer quietly writing Christmas cards, minding my own business, my tummy began jumping at approximately four second intervals! It was hickups, but not, at least they weren’t my hickups! But how does one cure hickups when they aren’t your hickups at all? I wish I knew!
However, I can tell you, drinking a glass of water does not work. Neither does swallowing a spoonful of sugar, or holding your breath. I can’t tell you about frightening them away, sine what kind of mother would I be if I intentionally scared my unborn baby?! Even for the sake of hickups…
Thankfully, by the time I ran out of cures to try, Izzie had run out of hickups! After a few sharp kicks for good measure, she quieted down like a good little girl, and took a nap. So go the adventures of Izzie!
